Grimm Fairy Tales: Oz
After reading Tales of Oz, I was excited and looking forward to diving into Grimm Fairy Tales: Oz. While the illustrations were amazing I found them to be borderline pornographic, and a little distracting at times. This reimaging is filled with a lot of gore, which I didn’t mind but I feel like this was more of Kill Bill meets The Wizard of Oz. I liked how each chapter was broken down, and how the plot was played out. But I would have enjoyed it more if instead of just showing the world building they also included it into the plot.Overall, a fast paced read that had an interesting take of reimagining the world of Oz and it’s characters but definitely not as enjoyable as Tales of Oz.
