Oh hello Cliffhanger, how nice of you to pop out of nowhere...
First off, I was under the impression that this was a standalone. I wouldn't have read this if I knew it was going to be made into a series. Why? 1) I need to cut down on my series, 2) There is no set timeline or hint as to when we will see a book 2, for all we know it might not happen. ugh. I had a hard time connecting with the characters, which made me feel like I was more so forcing myself to finish this book.
